A garbage can, a waste container, a dumpster, a recycling bin, a green bin. A temporary place to store waste before it is trucked or shipped or flown or hauled around and dumped or buried or burned or made into something else. If the waste we create says something about ourselves and a place, what can we also learn from these temporary storage containers?

Hi. I'm in the middle of going through my Innsbruck pictures and I realized (smartly) I took a number of pictures of their red garbage bins with different sayings. A Google search led me here. While the sayings might be considered a "rubbish mix" of languages, they're enough to get people to do a double take and actually use the bins as intended. :-)
