A garbage can, a waste container, a dumpster, a recycling bin, a green bin. A temporary place to store waste before it is trucked or shipped or flown or hauled around and dumped or buried or burned or made into something else.
If the waste we create says something about ourselves and a place, what can we also learn from these temporary storage containers?
During the "Misteri de na volta con arent en bon magnar". Traditional food was served on compostable plates and the bins were dressed up in burlap sacs, wood and straw to look like part of the festival. There is a picture of a pig under the sign for the metal bucket, letting you know that your food scraps will be going to the livestock.
